Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, also known as Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed as the label's first female artist on Dreamville Records by J. Cole. In October of 2016 Ari Lennox debuted her debut EP Pho. This was the moment that she gained recognition. Shea Butter Baby her debut studio album came out on May 7th 2019. Cole had her send her songs to the Dreamville Team later in the year as he wanted Rihanna to be able work together on a few references. In October 2016 the singer-songwriter released her debut EP, Pho. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's track Change and performed as an opening act on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in 2017. The year 2018 saw Ari Lennox appeared on two tracks with EarthGang and EarthGang, on Nothing but the Best, and Bas On Icarus. Ari Lennox's debut album Shea Butter Baby was released on 16 July 2018. The album's first single, Whipped Cream, from the album dropped on the 5th of September, 2018 and featured a the music video. Her second single called Grampa on the 9th of November. Two singles more were released on the 11th of November, titled Pedigree and No One. Shea Butter Baby was released on her debut single, the 26th of February, 2019, to accompany the album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby performed alongside Cole in her Creed II sound track on the 16th of November. In February of 2019, a music clip was released for the song. It already has more than 3 millions views on YouTube in its debut week. In December 2018, she was part of her From East Atlanta With Love Tour that featured 6LACK.
